FIFA

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association, also known as FIFA, is the worlwide association of (football)soccer. It is one of the largest sports groups on Earth. The current headquarters for the association is based in Zürich, Switzerland. As the popularity of soccer continued to increase during the 20th century, it became apparent that a governing body for the sport needed to be formed. Though the Football Association had proposed an international organization many times, they were unsuccessful.

FIFA was formed when seven European countries decided to work together to form the association. The organization was founded on May 21, 1904 in Paris. The first worldwide competition was held in 1906, and it was met with little success. The founding president Robert Guérin chose to resign, and was replaced by Daniel Burley Woolfall. The next competition was held at the 1908 Olympics in London, and was much more successful. Within the next year, membership in the organization extended beyond Europe, and included the United States, South Africa, and Argentina.

The rising prominence of FIFA was slowed at the start of World War 1. Many players were sent to war, and international travel was heavily restricted. After World War 1 ended, the popularity continued to increase, and the first World Cup was held in 1930. This tournament was highly successful, and plans were made for more games. The World Cup has become one of the most important tournaments for soccer, and is the equivalent of the Super Bowl. The FIFA 2006 World Cup will be held in Germany.

FIFA has become a world renown organization The revenues brought in by the association between 2003 and 2006 are in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The success of the organization has also extended into the video game market, with the release of FIFA 2006 by Electronic Arts. This game is planned to be released in October. The FIFA series of games are widely popular among those who enjoy soccer, and a number of titles have been published over the last ten years. There are also a number of websites about FIFA, which includes fifasite.com.

There are a number of awards which have come to be associated with the organization. The FIFA World Player of the Year award is the highest honor to be given to a player. This award is a part of the annual ceremony. A "Match of the Century" was held in 2004 between Brazil and France. A list has been compiled by the organizaiton which is called the FIFA 100, and is a list of the greatest soccer players who have ever lived. Today FIFA is split into six global confederations.

The laws which govern soccer are not made by FIFA, but are instead given by an organization called the International Football Association Board. Fifty percent of the board members are also members of FIFA. A large percentage of the board is also from the United Kingdom, and this is because of the contributions made to the sport by Britain. Though the association had humble beginnings, it has today grown into a respectable organization which has a global appeal.

Watching Live Football Online
By: Konrad Braun
According to a recent poll online, the most popular sports to watch in the United States are (in order from the most to the least popular) pro football, baseball, college football, auto racing, pro basketball, college basketball, and lastly pro hockey and golf tied. With football being in such large demand in both first place with pro football and third place with college football its not really a wonder as to why there are so many places online where you can catch your favorite game! So far I haven't found many of these sites as being free. There is however one in particular that charges a very low fee, probably one of the cheaper sites online.

This site doesn't just offer live streams for football though, they offer a whole lot more. And as far as I can tell the streams are extremely high quality, which is exactly what you would want if you couldn't watch your games on the tube and had to watch them online.

I know what your thinking though, why would I watch football online when I could watch it on tv? I remember one instance in particular during a championship game when my team was playing, and the cable went out ALL the sudden because of a really bad snow storm we were having in the east coast. It was absolutely frustrating beyond explanation.

I would have done almost anything to see what in the world was going on with my favorite team! This is a great example as to why you would need a service like this. How about being stuck at the office with out a tv? Or maybe the game your wanting to watch isint broadcasted in your country at all! In these cases (and Im sure many other cases) this would be the perfect reason to watch your favorite football games online.

The live football sites I have found which are free excite me in knowing I wouldn't have to pay but they also make me wonder why they are free in the first place. How good is the quality? Is there going to be advertisements spattered all over the web page slowing down the feed?

These are the things your going to have to check out and see for yourself. Just make sure any of the sites your looking at always mention its LIVE. Sometimes people play word games, and they could just as well be pre-recorded games. Always ask questions before paying. Good luck with your Live Football search and GO TEAM!

FOOTBALLPURE PART III

Outside the USA, the game of soccer is regarded as the most popular sport in the world. Many of the best teams and soccer players top draw enormous admiration of millions of fans and boast huge multi-million dollar salaries.

The rules of the game: soccer is very simple to understand. Each team can field eleven players at any given time and they can make substitutions at any time in a match. The number of changes depends on the league, but in the current era three substitutions is the accepted norm in the league.

A game of soccer for a period of two distinct periods, each lasting forty-five minutes. The time between periods is called a half-time and lasted about ten minutes.

Each team defends a half of the arrivals to prevent the opposing team to score a goal in the net at the end of the arrivals. soccer Coaches have developed different methods to create ways to improve the offensive and defensive tactics of the game.

Typically modern teams defend the goal in using four defenders and a player who protects the goal, known as the goalkeeper. Offensivement, the coach to select four players in midfield and two strikers to create and score goals.

With the exception of goalkeeper, players can not handle the ball. Instead, good game is developed by passing the ball different ways to try to violate the opponent 's defence. But a low score in the game of professional soccer with most games decided by only one or two goals.

There are a lot of the terminology used during a game of soccer which is very specific. For the casual viewer this confusion may appear. The most important factor to consider is the discipline. The game is mediated by an arbitrator on the ground and two other officials known as the linesman on each side of the field.

If a player tries to take the ball from an opponent, but lacks the place and makes contact with the player, the referee sees this as a mistake and stop the game and award a kick the team blocked. At burden on the seriousness of the misconduct, the referee may issue the player with either a yellow or red card.

A yellow card indicates that the player may be issued a red card later in the game. The red card means that the player must leave the game immediately. In these circumstances, they are not allowed to return for the remainder of the game.
Introduction To Soccer

On each side of the defence field protects the lens. Directly in front of the goal is a rectangular area. If the arbitrator finds that misconduct has occurred in this area by a member of the defence, a penalty is given. When that happens, a member of the offence is given an opportunity to score a goal against the opposition without goalkeeper defence in a position to help.

Finally, perhaps the most confusing law is the rule offside. At its simplest interpretation, an offensive player can not be ahead of the defence that the play develops. This is seen as trying to get an unfair advantage and if seen by one of the referees will result in a free kick for the defence.

This rule is responsible for many of the debates and controversies surrounding the game of soccer. The arbitrator 'interpretation may decide ultimately who wins a match. At present, despite calls to introduce video technology to assist officials did nothing next summer.

More Practice For Soccer
By: John Salmon
As an athlete and sports buff most of my life that I get sick of hearing people to a point outstanding athlete and say: "He has the genetic" or "He was born to play like that" . Really, to OJ Simpson who has suffered from being bowlegged because of deficiencies in vitamin is born to be one of the best running backs in American football?

The truth is that the only thing that makes every great athlete a great athlete is practical. Soccer is no different; greatest Pele, Ronaldo and Beckham all have this in common. They practiced constantly to the point of exhaustion and beyond. It is a practice that gives you both the competence and confidence to be able to make the passes and shots that make a difference in a match. If you want to be a great soccer player then you must commit to daily practice from now.

The aspect of being in excellent physical condition is another crucial element of soccer with aerobic conditioning to be the vanguard. If you are tired and can not be run at your peak for an entire game, then you need a better packaging. Soccer practice focuses on developing your skills and technology. Your competence is identified as your ability to execute techniques that are taught as a trap, throw or kick. It is a regimented and consistent practice that a player is able to develop skills and confidence to play at a higher level.

Always have a plan to achieve the goals you want to meet before starting your practice sessions. Having an exact format and plan your time to stop wasting time and not knowing what to do next. Have objectives to be achieved, once you reach all the highest. It is better to have a friend or someone who shares your zeal for the sport to practice with you, especially when you try to improve your technique of kicking. If you are unable to find someone to practice with you focus kicking a specific area of the ball and make it where you want. You can also hit the ball in a particular place on a wall if you do not have a buddy to kick.

Another important aspect of soccer is control. A good way to practice ball is put in place cones and zigzag through the dribble the ball and try not to stop or even slow down. This exercise will help you when it comes to having to dribble a soccer pitch in a real game where you dodge other players.

As with any sport, you can also learn a lot by watching other players closely. If you have a preferred position, watching a game and focus on this player and learn how he executes his technique. Follow these tips and you'll be well on your way to become a great soccer player.
